About the Role:
UNICEF Bolivia is recruiting a volunteer psychologist to provide specialized therapeutic support via a national hotline. The goal is to help mitigate the mental health impact of violence and crisis in Bolivia by offering compassionate, professional care.
Volunteers will offer psychotherapeutic support to children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly, with special focus on vulnerable groups such as women experiencing violence, the LGBTQI+ community, migrants, and others.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide online therapy support (via call center system) during assigned shifts
Follow protocols and case management systems provided by UNICEF
Attend training on mental health support and violence prevention
Participate in supervision and workshops offered by UNICEF (recommended but optional)
Requirements:
Licensed or final-year Psychology professionals with clinical experience
Proven ability to manage psychological first aid and virtual therapeutic processes
Strong emotional regulation, stress management, and active listening skills
Fluent in Spanish (working knowledge of Aymara is a plus)
Tech setup:
Windows 10+ or macOS Catalina+
Internet: 15 Mbps (wired) or 30 Mbps (Wi-Fi)
Noise-free workspace and good quality headset with mic

Additional Notes:
This is a competitive recruitment with training included. High-performing volunteers may be invited to extend their service with a renewed 3-month assignment.
